Take a look at this little gadget Philips
Although the camera only does 640x480, it's pretty cool nonetheless.

Morphix Site - News
Morphix is a Linux distribution based on Knoppix built around the idea of modules. I have it installed on one of my home PCs now. It still needs some tuning, but appears to be promising if development continues.

Another topic that I love to gab about is Linux desktop distributions. I have probably installed every English distribution on Distrowatch.com at least twice.... some probably 20 or 30 times (like Mandrake and Redhat). I have yet to come across the "perfect" distribution. I always go back to comparing them to OS X or XP. None are even close to parity from a UI and fit and finish standpoint.
So far, the winners for me are RedHat after Ximian is installed, Mandrake, and gulp, Lindows. I have yet to be able to successfully run an APT-GET Update all on a Debian distribution without thoroughly screwing up my whole system. Mandrakes URPMI isn't much better though I know enough about it to recover.
Anyway, I'll probably rant and rave about future releases here as I love installing Linux for some strange reason.
